3 Cool New Cars from General Motors in 2020 (You Don’t Want to Miss)
As a Harrisonburg, VA car dealership, we’re always excited when the new year of luxury cars are unveiled. And this year is no exception.
GM has rolled out three new cars that we think are dynamite luxury vehicles. Take a look at these new cars and see if you feel the same way.
Cadillac CT4
This entry level sedan combines the best of both worlds, luxury and enthusiastic performance. Adorned with uncluttered styling, the Cadillac CT4 fills the void left by the discontinuation of the Cadillac ATS. And no doubt it will.
Powered by a 2.0 Liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, the vehicle’s power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. (AWD is available on all of the lineup).
The Premium Luxury version makes 309 horsepower and 348 lb-ft from a 2.7-liter turbo four cylinder. And, it’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
With Brembo front brakes, four piston calipers, near perfect 50/50 front to rear weight ratio, this baby was designed to go head to head with Audio A3 and Mercedes A-class. Plus, it knocks a few thousand bucks on the base model.
Standard equipment across the entire line includes:
• Keyless entry
• Push button start
• Dual driving info display
• Leather-wrapped steering wheel,
• Dual zone climate control
• LED interior lighting
• HD rearview camera
• Premium audio
Cadillac CT5
The Cadillac CT5 compact luxury sedan was built for a new generation of sedan drivers, blending Cadillac’s signature technology with nimble handling.
Replacing the mid-size CTS, it infuses Cadillac’s racing DNA to produce an exhilarating riding that’s just what you’d expect, dynamic and responsive.
And like its sister, the Cadillac CT4, the Cadillac CT5 will easily go head-to-head with Audi A3, Mercedes Benz A-Class and CLA Class, but also the BMW 1 and 2 series.
With a broad grille dynamically styled, narrow LED headlamps and a sleek fastback roofline, the CT5 is powered by a turbocharged 2.7 liter four-cylinder engine that features a unique three-step sliding camshaft to optimize performance at all speeds.
Get it with either the rear wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Either way, a 10-speed automatic transmission is standard.
With a 2.7-liter turbocharged engine and 320 horsepower, it, too, has a near perfect 50/50 front to rear weight ratio, precise handling abilities and Brembo brakes.
The high performance CT5-V has a 355 HP version of the V6 and upgrades that are performance-minded, as well as Cadillac’s Super Cruise system.
2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
A mid-engine Corvette is finally a reality! The most aggressively style Corvette yet, is it any wonder the wild exotic car look makes us a little weak in the knees?
The 2020 Vette comes equipped with removable roof panels that you can store in the forward-situated trunk.
Behind the driver and beneath a clear panel sits the 6.2-liter V8 engine. Pumping out 490 horsepower and 470 lb-ft torque to the rear wheels with an eight-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, smooth and fast is the name of the game.
As you would expect, the cockpit is driver focused. It features a pair of electronic displays with no fewer than a dozen selectable driving modes.
The newly revised suspension brings added handling abilities that can be upgraded with an adjustable unit which allows the driver to dial in ride height and stiffness. Or, go for GM’s Magnetic Ride Control auto adjusting system.
