New Features & Specs
If you’re looking for a completely brand new design inside and out, the Tahoe certainly fits that need. With a completely redesigned interior and exterior, you’ll find very little in common cosmetically compared to its predecessors. Alterations to the grille and face give the Tahoe a more streamlined appearance, making it resemble the Silverado. You’ll also notice that the exterior lighting is different, pointing inward toward the Chevrolet emblem.
Not only is the exterior flashier on the all-new 2021 Tahoe, it’s also longer than any other Tahoe before it. Almost 30 more square feet, in fact. Inside the Tahoe, this additional space translates to 123 cubic square feet when both the second and third row are folded down. It’s definitely not the length of a Chevy Suburban, but the added space makes a huge difference. And thanks to the Independent Rear Suspension, the new Tahoe can comfortably seat adults in the third row with an additional 10 inches of legroom. This is the first time this feature has ever been offered in the Chevy Tahoe.
On top of the two V8 engines already offered in the Tahoe line, the 2021 version has a third option of a 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel engine. This option gives the engine more torque, which allows the Tahoe more towing capacity for those who need it.

Fuel Economy
According to the EPA’s fuel economy estimates, the most efficient engine for the 2021 Tahoe is the 5.3L V8, offering 16 mpg City, 20 mpg Highway, & 18 mpg combined. Some vehicle experts speculate that the diesel engine will offer the best fuel economy, but the exact fuel economy is to be determined.
